A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a house from the roof to the foundation. Whether you are buying or selling, knowing the condition of the house guarantees a fair and smooth transaction, especially given today's high cost of real estate.
The Inspection
Scheduling
We offer quick, flexible scheduling for your convenience. You may schedule your home inspection via telephone or on this website.
Your Participation
We encourage you to attend the inspection toward the end of its completion. The duration of an inspection varies, but typically requires two to four hours depending on the size and condition of the home. This allows you to review the conditions and components needing service and other maintenance items with the inspector. After you have seen the property with the inspector, you will find the written report easier to understand.
The Report
Our detailed reports are computer-generated using state-of-the-art home inspection software and you can expect the following:
- digital photos
- color-coded narrative for clarity
- components and conditions needing service
- maintenance comments
- summary for quick reference
Our reports will normally be available within 24 hours following the inspection and accessible by e-mail, online or delivery. We encourage potential clients to view our sample report available from the home page.
We offer a manufacturer's recall check on built-in appliances. Within 48 hours of your inspection, you will receive a RecallChek report via email indicating whether any of the appliances have outstanding recalls. In the event there is a recall on an appliance, the following information will be provided: the nature of the recall, where the product was sold and how to remedy to defect, including how to get the item repaired or replaced free of charge.
Our advice does not end with the inspection; you may call us any time after the inspection. We understand buying or marketing a property is one of the largest financial and emotional investments you can make. We also encourage you to review our home maintenance checklist linked on our site to maintain your property.
